YESTERDAY - TODAY - TOMORROW,
This is my new project for 2020 and the Sky is the limit for random thoughts that can be captured here in this blog. Right now when we feel captured and imprisoned in our own homes, fearful of a Virus we cannot see hear smell or touch but is all over the place; It is just about invisible..We need to vent our thoughts and distract our minds.
Yes I do read the essentials about Coirona and Blog the worthwhile ones ( not political Blame games and who is suing who) but what could save lives.
In 2007, I embarked on a book Titled "Yesterday Today Tomorrow" and penned my life story before my Brain Stem Stroke in year 2000 and life Post Stroke..My sons comment still rings in my ears. He said to me "Daddu who is interested in your Story ?" meaning you are a nobody so why would any one buy your book except a few family members and friends, only to please you. I did not take any offense as he meant well in terms of book sales and money invested.
So I decided to Change Tack. At that stage of life in 2007 I had come into contact with a few thousand IIT Alumni Globally through my IIT Global Yahoo Groups with as many as 5000 odd members and as many as 10 Sub Interest Groups I had created.
I hand picked as many as 50 IIT Alumni from all IITs and asked them to pen their life stories before Joining IITs Life on campus as a student and where they were in life in 2007. No different to Yesterday Today Tomorrow in 2020.
When it was all done and I had 35 alumni sending me their stories, on of the authors Behruz Setna IITB said Rambo, this title does not reflect the Contents so how about "Reflection by IITians". A most valuable suggestion which I adopted and my Book Reflections by IITians was Printed at my own expense costing Rs 7 Lakhs for 6000 Prints and sold over 4000 copies and the money minus cost was donated to my favourite Charity Jeevodaya, a Hospice for Terminally Ill Poor Cancer Patients
This second version of "Yesterday Today Tomorrow" is open to all family and friends of mine and yours. So feel free to Join and spread the word and ask anyone interested to join.
I have listed several off the cuff topics but you can chose what ever you want. make the firts word in the caption the key word as that will determine where your article will land.
There is no time Limit, there is no limit on length or article and no limit on number of articles you can write..

H - HISTORY SINCE YEAR 1900,
For a small amount of perspective at this moment, imagine you were born in 1900.
When you are 14, World War I starts, and ends on your 18th birthday with 22 million people killed. Later in the year, a Spanish Flu epidemic hits the planet and runs until you are 20. Fifty million people die from it in those two years. Yes, 50 million.
When you're 29, the Great Depression begins. Unemployment hits 25%, global GDP drops 27%. That runs until you are 33. The country nearly collapses along with the world economy.
When you turn 39, World War II starts. You aren’t even over the hill yet. When you're 41, the United States is fully pulled into WWII. Between your 39th and 45th birthday, 75 million people perish in the war and the Holocaust kills six million.
At 52, the Korean War starts and five million perish.
At 64 the Vietnam War begins, and it doesn’t end for many years. Four million people die in that conflict.
Approaching your 62nd birthday you have the Cuban Missile Crisis, a tipping point in the Cold War. Life on our planet, as we know it, could well have ended. Great leaders prevented that from happening.
As you turn 75, the Vietnam War finally ends.
Think of everyone on the planet born in 1900. How do you survive all of that? A kid in 1985 didn’t think their 85 year old grandparent understood how hard school was. Yet those grandparents (and now great grandparents) survived through everything listed above.
Perspective is an amazing art.
Let’s try and keep things in perspective. Let’s be smart, help each other out, and we will get through all of this.”

During World War II, numerous fighter planes were getting hit by anti-aircraft guns.
Air Force officers wanted to add some protective armor/shield to the planes.
The question was "where"?
The planes could only support few more kilos of weight. A group of mathematicians and engineers were called for a short consulting project.
Fighter planes returning from missions were analysed for bullet holes per square foot. They found 1.93 bullet holes/sq. foot near the tail of the planes whereas only 1.11 bullet holes/sq. foot close to the engine.
The Air Force officers thought that since the tail portion had the greatest density of bullets, that would be the logical location for putting an anti-bullet shield.
A mathematician named Abraham Wald said exactly the opposite; more protection is needed where the bullet holes aren't - that is -around the engines.
His judgement surprised everyone.

P - PRISONS IN 2070,
ABSTRACT:
It is year 2070. 50 years from now.
There will be no such thing as a Prison System anymore like we have today where we arrest criminals and lock them up and feed them and entertain them and allow them to play games and watch TV and Paint etc etc all at tax payers expense.
In the new system, Criminals will be locked up in their own homes and the degree of lockdown will be determIned by the degree of crime committed.
For Murderers and Rapist etc The Govt will make the family members pay for building a steel cage to be installed inside one of the bed rooms of the criminals home and the family will be responsible for feeding the brutes and washing their clothes etc for the term of their punishments. This undue pressure on one's family will in fact become a deterrent to minimise crimes.
For Lesser crimes they will be allowed free movement inside the house and in a One Kilometer or what ever radius as determined by the courts, that will be dictated and controlled by electronic anklets linked to WiFi in the house that determines the range. Any violation will result in all family members copping a fine or a punishment to suit.
Tell me what you think about this outside the Box idea ???

CORONA - 2020,
The Corona Epidemic 2020 took the World by Storm virtually from New Years Day. Until then Australian Bush Fires kept me Pre Occupied. I was so upset with NSW Premier to allow Fire Works in the Harbour to Celebrate New Year when half the Country was still on fire; It takes an OxyMoron to make such stupid decisions. This was the very first news years even in Sydney that I refused to even watch the Fire works on TV. No Celebrations considering close friends had their house in Bega are burnt down by Bush Fires
Corona Took over and my Bush Fires Blog just became a daily update for want of Time
With the world under lock down there is virtually nothing happening in the world no sport no music festivals no celebrations like weddings resulting every journalist in the world and would be journalists to write whatever about Corona.
